As of 7/3/2017, the NF-e would cover export operation (using CFOP started with 7), or linked to export (using CFOP 1501, 2501, 5501, 5502, 5504, 5505, 6501, 6502, 6504 and 6505) should use units of measurement defined in the "Table of Units of Taxable Measures in Foreign Trade".
This table is published in the Portal of NF-e, in the "Documents" tab, option "Miscellaneous" (http://www.nfe.fazenda.gov.br/portal/listaConteudo.aspx?tipoConteudo=Iy/5Qol1YbE= ).
Please be advised that NF-e issued with the use of units of measurement other than those indicated in Technical Note 2016/001, which introduced this change, will not be validated.
We note that the validation rule set forth in this technical note does not apply to NF-e issuers that do not operate with foreign trade. That is, it does not reach the NF-e issued to cover the remaining operations in the domestic and import market.
